SHOULDER HEALTH 101

Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
What to Bring: Comfortable workout clothes, water bottle and a light snack.
Overview: Over the two hour course, participants will be reviewing the following: Mobility, strength development, understanding movement compensations, and accessory work. Participants will receive instruction of proper execution for all movements for each section of review. They will also receive real time review of their own movement pattern execution.
About The Presenters
Gina is currently completing a year-long residency program to become a Certified Orthopedic Specialist, allowing her to more accurately find and fix the source of people’s pain. With a personal athletic history of soccer, running, tennis, and CrossFit, Gina believes everyone is an athlete and has the ability to heal while staying active. She enjoys helping people reach their rehab goals as well as their fitness goals. Gina is happy to work one-on-one with patients after finishing PT as part of Spooner’s Wellness Program in order to build upon the progress they have made.
Megan has been practicing as a Doctor of Physical Therapy since 2014. She has had specialty training in outpatient orthopedics and spots, as well as oncology, and particularly enjoys working with CrossFit athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. Megan is also certified in Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete, and she travels around the country to help teach the in-person course for practitioners who want to learn how to better treat that population. Other certifications include FRCms, dry needling, and CF-L1.
