Running 101 with Darrel Wang

What to bring: Lacrosse ball, jump rope, water, light snack.
Overview: This 3-hr intensive course will provide in introduction to running mechanics, skills and drills for form-development, and exercises to strengthen running positions, as well as stamina.
During this course, we will be evaluating run technique, performing assigned drills, and then reevaluating to see how much improvement has been made.
About the Coach: Darrel was a professional track and field athlete, former Olympic Trialist, and advisor to professional sports organizations. His coaching background primarily focuses on endurance sports with an emphasis on the importance of strength and conditioning in those sports. Darrel has worked with many teams ranging from Team USA Track and Field to NFL and MLB organizations.
PHX Athlete Camp with Darrel Wang & Nathan Weamer
Hours: 9am-3pm with a 1-hr lunch break
What to bring: Weightlifting Shoes, 1-2 changes of clothes, light snacks
This two day intensive camp will provide lecture and instruction on proper Warm-ups, Cool-downs, Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Gymnastics, Pacing/Workout Strategy, and Breath Work.
Participants will go through up to four workouts per day to include strength based workouts and conditioning based workouts.
Participants will receive real time movement analysis and performance evaluation.
About the coaches:

Nathan currently competes in Olympic Weightlifting at a National level with USAW and has focused his personal training development on weightlifting since 2015. His coaching background primarily focuses on strength sports in addition to individual and team development for CrossFit. Nathan has worked with many individuals preparing for competition as well as local semi-pro football teams and soccer teams.

Breath + Performance Seminar with Darrel Wang

A 6-hour intensive course to dive into the details of our respiratory system and how it can affect performance and lifestyle both in and out of the gym.
We spent time going through the respiratory gear-system, aerobic and anaerobic energy system control (through breath), efficient use of CO2, parasympathetic & sympathetic nervous system control (through breath), recovery & up-regulation breathing protocols, and how use of breath through different durations of workouts.
The #800gChallenge with Macros and Metcons
February 1, 2019 – February 28, 2019
- Eat 800 grams (g) of fruits and/or vegetables (total) a day.
- No foods are restricted during the challenge but only fruits and vegetables count towards the 800g total.
- Total calories (and macronutrient grams) are up to the individual based on their fruit and vegetable choices, as well as the other foods in their diet.
If you can weigh it as a standalone and unprocessed fruit or vegetable, you can count it. Raw, cooked, canned, frozen; doesn’t matter!
You can eat the fruits and vegetables you like while staying in line with other nutritional targets – high carb, low carb, macro-trackers, Paleo, vegan – it’s up to you!
